Mei Rating Requirements
(iv) have completed at least 200 hours of flight instructor training for aeroplane, helicopter or engine lift certification; and (i) the aircraft must have at least two cockpits and, if applicable, be of the same class, class and type as those applicable to the pilot certificate or pilot rating applied for. When a flight instructor conducts instrument training on board a multi-engine aircraft, the flight instructor shall have on his flight instructor`s certificate an instrument rating appropriate to the aircraft used for instrument training and shall meet the requirements of paragraph (b) of this section.
